Arizona is one of the most arid regions in the world. Every year forest fires devastate thousands of acres of pristine forests throughout the state. Many of the fires are caused by humans who believe that the campfire they enjoyed was put out. Thus, almost every year, there is a forest closure or a ban on any open flame in most of the campgrounds statewide.
